Mobile phone is necessary for
everyone but the usage of it depends upon the user itself. Everyone who uses
phone wants a battery which could last for a longer period of time. For fulfilling this requirement, a person who
is about to purchase a new phone keeps on searching different phones
available in the market. Here in this blog, I'll tell you how you can save
battery life of your phone:

1. Brightness Level
You have to take care of the brightness level of
your phone. Adjust brightness according to the need, depending upon the
daylight conditions. Don’t use the same amount of brightness
in the night as during night it is not even necessary. You can use the option
of auto- brightness also but still it will use the sensors and we have to use
only important sensors.
Settings>Display>Brightness Level
OR Drag quick settings bar down to adjust brightness manually

2. Avoid unnecessary tones and vibrations
Turn off the dial pad tones, tap sounds, screen
locking sounds, screenshot sound and delete sound. For vibrations, keep the 'vibration during tap' 'OFF' and keep the vibration as light or medium.
Settings>Sound and Vibration>Additional
Settings
This is the most important aspect you have to
take into consideration. Keep the mobile data 'OFF' when not in use. I usually do
it in the night. If you think that keeping the data off is not good for
you, use 2G service because 4G service consumes more battery. At 2G speed, you
will be able to receive all the important notifications. When you are in need of
high speed internet, switch to the 4G mode.

Networks>Sim Card Settings
a). Sleep Time:
Set the sleep time of your lock screen as minimum as possible. Ideally, your
phone should go into sleep after one minute of inactivity.
b). Raise to
wake: Turn 'OFF' raise to wake option.
c). Wallpaper Carousel: Don't use wallpaper carousel because it uses mobile data and deliver new wallpapers on your lock screen regularly.

5. Dark Mode
Most of the phones now come with dark mode. If
your phone supports dark mode, 'USE' it. Dark mode consumes very less
energy and it will h elp significantly to save battery life of your phone. Many
applications like UC Browser, Whats App etc. supports dark theme.
Moreover, dark mode causes negligible strain on your eyes.
Settings>Display>Dark Mode
Don’t use live wallpapers as they keep on running all the time. Some of the live wallpapers even make use of sensors to move. For themes, try to choose a theme with
dark effects.
7. Battery & Performance
If your battery is running out of power, keep an eye on battery usage stats. It will give you brief information that which
application is consuming more power and then will rank the applications accordingly.
These applications keeps on consuming the power in the background and we never
know it. So it’s better to close those applications which you are not currently using.
In battery & performance, there is an option of Optimise. Optimise will help you in closing those applications which are putting more load on CPU and thus consuming excessive power from the battery. Features like these actually make your phone a 'SMART' phone.

Using battery saver is an efficient way to save battery. The only thing you have to do is to turn it ‘ON’; rest all of the things will be done by your smart phone itself. During power saver mode, background applications with some services gets closed, data gets restricted and you will not receive any updates. So, it is advisable to turn it on only when your phone's battery is about to die.
Settings>Battery & Performance>Battery Saver
9. Synchronization
Synchronization is used in mobile phones to get
back the data when it’s not with you. By default, synchronization is always ‘ON’;
it keeps on synchronizing and saving the data like photos, contacts, videos
etc. to another associated server/cloud. As this process uses the internet
data of your phone, it requires more energy. If you don’t want to save photos
or other stuff to a server then you can disable the auto-synchronization to
save phone’s battery.
Settings>Accounts & Sync> Turn off Auto-sync
data
10. Power Adapter
Always juice up your phone with its original power adapter only. Power adapters of other brands may damage your phone. If you still want to charge your phone with another adapter due to any reason then don’t use your phone while charging it.
11. Power Bank
The last thing, I want to share with you is that if you are a hardcore user and the battery is still not lasting as per your expectation even after applying all the above methods then keeping a power bank always helps.
*As I am using Redmi Note 8 Pro, I have uploaded the photos of 'ORIGINAL' - MI Power Adapter & MI Power Bank
a). Mobile Data
b). GPS/Location
c). Wi-Fi
c). Wi-Fi
d). Bluetooth
e). Mobile Hotspot
Turn off all the above mentioned features if you
are not using them. I have seen many mobile users with these features ‘ON’; even
when they are not using them. You can find these features easily by dragging
the quick settings bar down.
Conclusion: Mobile phone has number
of advantages but to fulfill these advantages it needs a battery with good power
capacity. Sometimes phone with big batteries does not last long after juicing
it up to its fullest. Now, I hope you will apply any of the most suitable option suggested in
this blog and save your battery’s life. Remember, sometimes merely 5% battery can be very helpful to you in
your difficult time.
